Get ready for a plentiful family-style dinner at Carmine’s, an NYC institution. The lights of Times Square are mesmerizing and right outside your hotel. It’s the premiere address at the center of it all, and you call it home! Marriott Marquis Times Square – 5 nights (D)

Day 2

Do it the New York way, by subway and on foot. Take the subway to the Financial District. On Wall Street, pause at Federal Hall and say hi to Alexander Hamilton at Trinity Church. After lunch ascend One World Observatory with 360° views. Below, reflect at the 9/11 Memorial & Museum. Back at your hotel by mid-afternoon, kick your feet up for a bit then take your pick from the many restaurants in the area, before meeting in the lobby of your hotel to walk to the theater. Tonight, you will see Louis Armstrong or Back to the Future (choice is available to those registering before December 1st).  (L)

Day 3

At a real working precinct station, Bronx NYPD share the rigors of the job and their efforts to strengthen community relations and safety. True heroes! Eat your way along Arthur Avenue, The Real Little Italy. Meet shop owners producing the foods you enjoyed at lunch. Grab some to take home, our treat! Tonight, enjoy the Broadway show of your choosing (subject to availability). We will send you a selection list several months before departure. Your Tour Directors will be there to direct/escort you to the theater. You are going to a show on Broadway, for the second night in a row! (L)

Day 4

You decide how to spend you day! join your Tour Director in the morning and sail to Ellis & Liberty Islands. In the afternoon, we offer optional sights: Visit Grand Central Station and tour Carnegie Hall, two of the city's most revered landmarks. Or just take all or part of the day and explore your own special spot. We'll point you in the right direction. (Please note: The cost of the Grand Central and Carnegie Tours are included. Ellis/Liberty cruise tickets would be an additional cost of $25.00).

Day 5

Pull back the curtain of Broadway. At a rehearsal studio, actors, musicians and technicians will talk to you about their training, path to the stage or maybe a little insider gossip! Meet Peter Filichia, a theater critic, with deep roots and a long history in the Broadway world, an endless source of information and full of entertaining stories!

This evening, your trip comes to a grand finale with a concert at Carnegie Hall. Come together for an early steakhouse dinner and share your Big Apple adventures of the past four days. Carnegie Hall will be abuzz for the New York Pops 40th Birthday Gala, and you have exclusive box seats in the balcony! The Pops will honor a star from Broadway and/or the music world. (Watch for the honoree announcement in February.) It's truly a one-of-a-kind New York evening. (D)

Day 6

Before your flight home this evening, we have more New York excitement! Start by discovering the magic of the Museums of Broadway. Walk through Broadway history, starting in 1732 with the first documented performance in NYC. Learn about ground-breaking moments in Broadway's history.

In Central Park pay homage to John Lennon. At Strawberry Fields, a mosaic spells out "Imagine", timely still today. Lunch is an experience at fabulous Tavern on the Green, located inside the park. Finally, it's off to Newark and your 6:30pm non-stop flight home, arriving approximately 9:45pm. (L)
