Daily Itinerary

Day 1

Following a cross-country adventure arrive in Buffalo in time for dinner and a good night's sleep.Buffalo Marriott Niagara (D)

Day 2

With our local guide explore this important "rust belt" city that's presently on an impressive comeback. So many firsts and onlys are part of the Buffalo story. Site of an inauguration (T. Roosevelt), an assassination (McKinley) and home to two Commanders-in-chief (Fillmore and Cleveland), Buffalo is filled with presidential history. It's also the starting point of the storied Erie Canal that transformed trade and settlement in a young United States, and to this day is a principal port on the St. Lawrence Seaway. Then there's this hot little wing that really put them on the map! From Buffalo travel over the river and through the woods to Celeron, a tiny hamlet on Chautauqua Lake, and take in a stunning New York sunset on the water. Harbor Hotel - 2 nights (FB,D)

Day 3

Nearby Jamestown is the home of Lucille Ball. There you'll visit the Lucy Desi Museum and take the LucyTown Tour featuring prominent sites from her early years as well as her final resting place. Where is lunch served? At the Tropicana, of course! The ultimate tribute to the Mistress of Comedy was the selection of Jamestown as the site of the National Comedy Center, an interactive museum and "laughter laboratory" devoted to all things funny. (FB,L)

Day 4

Take the scenic route back to Buffalo along Lake Erie including a visit to the historic Dunkirk Lighthouse. Next check out the Herschell Carousel Factory and Museum in North Tonawanda which is sure to keep you spinning. After crossing the border and checking into the hotel, throw back the curtains and relish the incredible view. Your spacious suite, the Manager's Reception and, of course, the thundering falls assure your happy stay! Embassy Suites Fallsview - 2nights (FB,L)

Day 5

Travel alongside the Niagara River to the historic community of Niagara-on-the-Lake where a wide array of shoppes await! All things maple - cookies, syrup and tea - are signature local products you will find, not to mention the ice wine! Nearby the iconic Floral Clock with its colorful blooms create intricate designs that are a beauty to behold. Here's the moment you've been waiting for: Take the Hornblower cruise past the American and Bridal Veil Falls straight to the base of Horseshoe Falls. Inevitably you will get wet, but that's half of the fun! Dry off and relax back at your hotel before dinner overlooking the falls (FB, D)

Day 6

Returning stateside, stop at Niagara Falls State Park to walk along the top of the American and Bridal Veil Falls. Same falls, but an amazingly different view. Fly home from Buffalo. (FB, L)
