Daily Itinerary

Day 1.

After a short flight to Burbank, enjoy breakfast at a star-studded local eatery. Countless TV shows, movies and music videos have been filmed here. Next you're off to Malibu with a local guide. You may recognize the Getty Villa on the cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean from one of many movies filmed there. Take a guided walking tour of the museum with free time to experience the famous gardens. Cruise down Pacific Coast Highway to Malibu, but keep an eye on the ocean. This is where the Creature From the Black Lagoon emerged from the water and the Speedo-clad "Baywatch" cast protected the beaches of LA. Beach-front tables on the sand await you for a late lunch at Paradise Cove where many famous beach scenes were filmed. Onward to Hollywood where your hotel is located a short walk from many famous landmarks. Hilton Garden Inn Hollywood - 3 nights (FB,L)

Day 2.

With a local guide take in the famous sights in and around Hollywood and Beverly Hills, both walking and driving. Lunch is served at a famous eatery with plenty opportunities for photos and (hopefully) movie star sightings. Today also features your chance to join a live studio audience for a taping of a television talk or game show. Due to the unpredictable nature of TV shows and taping schedules, we only receive our location assignment 30-60 days in advance. (FB,L)

Day 3.

The Academy Museum of Motion Pictures is dedicated to the art of movie-making  with exhibits on animation, the making of The Godfather and Casablanca, and the huge display of sets, costumes and props. We have made special arrangements for you to participate in "The Oscar Experience" in which you'll accept your award before an appreciative crowd. (You can even take a video home to prove it!) Time for lunch! Gordon Ramsey and Alton Brown are known to shop for ingredients and even film their cooking shows at LA's Original Farmers Market. Today you can, too. This evening will be both memorable and entertaining as you join the audience to behold one of the most popular events (always a sell-out) held annually at the Hollywood Bowl. The Sound of Music Experience incorporates the beloved film with live accompaniment by the LA Philharmonic Orchestra. The evening begins with a light pre-show snack picnic and a chance to visit the Hollywood Bowl Museum. From your seats (in the front section, no less) you'll enjoy a great view of the audience costume contest before the evening's featured spectacular. You are welcome to bring snacks and beverages, or purchase dinner at the venue. Your hotel's great location makes it possible to move to and from the Bowl on foot, thus avoiding any of LA's famous traffic jams! (FB)

Day 4.

Today you're having brunch at a certified "Hollywood Hangout." Adam Sandler is a regular and George Clooney even named his production company after The Smokehouse. Experience the sights and sounds of a working movie studio on a guided walking and tram tour of Warner Brothers Studio. There will be time to visit some of the famous sets and exhibits, and even to grab a bite at the Central Perk Cafe, famous from the TV show "Friends." Time to leave Tinsel Town for Burbank Airport and an early flight home. (BR)
