    Day 1

Fly to Albuquerque. Lunch is at The
Standard Diner, a gas station turned
hip eatery featured on Diners, Drive-Ins
and Dives. Walk off lunch in Old Town
    Albuquerque browsing the many shops.
The San Felipe de Neri Parish, dating back
to the city’s beginnings in the early 1700’s,
is a haven for quiet reflection. A short hour
drive puts you in Santa Fe by late afternoon.
Check into your hotel and join your tour
director for a causal two block stroll to
    the central plaza. Nightly complimentary
cocktails and nibbles await your arrival.
Dinner is on your own at one of the many
    excellent nearby restaurants. Drury Plaza
    Hotel – 3 nights (L)

    Day 2

This morning a trolley tour will acquaint
you with the town. Afterwards, learn the
history of Santa Fe during a guided tour
of the Palace of the Governors. Beautiful
    Native American-made jewelry and pottery
are displayed by the artisans just outside
the door and are available for purchase.
Enjoy free time in the plaza or an included
optional visit to the Georgia O’ Keefe
Museum. What a fascinating lady! Tonight,
dinner is at a local institution, La Casa
    Sena. (FB,D)

    Day 3

Today, with our local guide, travel along
the mountaintops on the high road to Taos
with a stop at El Santuario de Chimayo,
a peaceful shrine of healing nestled in
the hills. Your next stop is at Centinela
Traditional Art where each work is a
personal expression of the artist. Hear the
history of their craft and see the old looms
in action. In Taos, enjoy an included lunch
before time to walk the plaza. Join a guided
tour of the Taos Pueblo, the only living
    Native American Community designated
a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and
experience a culture dating back over 1,000
years. All new scenery awaits you along the
low road through the valleys back to Santa
    Fe. (FB,L)

  • Day 4

This day is for you to spend as you
choose. Santa Fe, with its maze of
    alleyways and interior courtyards, lends
    itself perfectly to self-exploration. Take
your time and peruse one or more of the
    award-winning art museums, many unique
boutiques or just find a spot in the central
plaza to sit and take it all in. You’re sure to
meet a character or two. It’s not called “The
    City Different” for nothing! Transportation
will be provided to Canyon Road, a street
lined with art galleries. Find that perfect
treasure or just browse. It’s a feast for
the eyes! Come together tonight over
complimentary cocktails at the hotel to
regale others with your adventures! (FB)

    Day 5

This morning we’ll wind our way along
the Turquoise Trail, aptly named for the
dozens of mines producing the signature
stone of the Southwest. In the artist enclave
of Madrid, you’ll have time to splurge on
one last little bauble for yourself at a store
specializing in all things turquoise. Lunch is
at the base of the Sandia Peak tram before
soaring 7,200 feet up and over breathtaking
mountains. Back in Albuquerque stop at the
Pueblo Indian Cultural Center for a guided
tour before your flight home. (FB,L)

A Coos Bay Christmas

First offered as a holiday excursion in 2013, it has been often requested by our Christmas crowd ever since, so we are pleased to bring A Coos Bay Christmas back for a return engagement.

This is an all-coach trip. Travel north to Ashland/Medford the first day. There’s a lunch break in Redding and tonight you’ll partake in the annual Christmas Feast at the Winchester Inn. The six-course meal comes with carolers and costumed staff.

The next morning (Christmas Eve), before departing for the coast, make an early morning visit to Harry & David’s. As is our Christmas shopping tradition, we have negotiated a little gift card to get you started on your expedition. Travel to the coast, stopping in Bandon at Washed Ashore, a most unique place that makes art out of ocean trash. At Cranberry Sweets, your sponsored-shopping activities continue. Finish the day at The Mill Casino/Hotel in Coos Bay. Dinner tonight is a Crab Fest (other options available), as the Dungeness season will have just started.

Christmas Day brings our legendary White Elephant Gift Exchange, an ecological tour of the area and a visit to Shore Acres State Park. Not only is there an interesting story, there is a wonderful display of Christmas lights. A holiday feast is planned.

The trip home takes you down the Oregon Coast, with shopping stops at Misty Meadows Jams and the House of Myrtlewood. Spend the night in Eureka and head home through the redwoods.

A Magical Luncheon

First presented as a mystery daytrip last summer with three departures, this “Magical Luncheon” received rave reviews! Host Gerry Griffin welcomes you to his house of fun and illusion for the afternoon. A very tasty pre-set menu is served with tableside magic and humor. Then sit back and enjoy the show that is filled with laughter and illusion. You will come away mystified.
