    Day 2

Joined by a local guide, take a driving
tour of San Antonio and along the El
Camino Real to San Jose, one of the historic
Franciscan missions that first brought the
Spanish into the area.Later in the day, visit
the most famous ofthese missions, San
Antonio de Valero, orwhat we know today as
The Alamo. Next door, you’ll see the IMAX film
production that puts the famous battle into
perspective. If you’ve wrestled up an appetite,
tonight’s steak dinner is sure to please. You
know what they say: Everything’s bigger in
    Texas! (FB,D)

  • Day 3

The Drury Plaza is conveniently located
right on the city’s unique Riverwalk which
you’ll explore aboard a river taxi cruise.
Onboard, a Mexican lunch fiesta will be
served. Then you’re off to the home of San
Antonio’s beloved shoes, SAS, where you’ll
visit the old-timey General Store (anyone for
a 10¢ Coke and 5¢ bag of popcorn?) and
tour the factory. Back in town, the Institute of
Texan Cultures, a combination gallery and
living history museum, tells the story of this
great state past, present and future. (FB,L)

    Day 4

With luck, the blue bonnets will be in
bloom as you head into the Texas Hill
Country. There you’ll visit the LBJ Ranch
and tour the Texas White House. You’ll also
have an opportunity to explore the National
Museum of the Pacific War, a world-class
    museum located in tiny Fredericksburg,
the hometown of Five Star Fleet Admiral
    Chester Nimitz. (FB,L)

  • Day 5

Time to say adios, but not before getting
a bird’s eye view of the city high atop the
Tower of the Americas and strapping in for
the 4D film, “Skies Over Texas.” An early
afternoon departure gets you home before
    the stars come out. (FB)

25th Annual Spring Training in Arizona

4 nights in a luxurious Marriott Hotel, ballgames every day

A Coos Bay Christmas

First offered as a holiday excursion in 2013, it has been often requested by our Christmas crowd ever since, so we are pleased to bring A Coos Bay Christmas back for a return engagement.

This is an all-coach trip. Travel north to Ashland/Medford the first day. There’s a lunch break in Redding and tonight you’ll partake in the annual Christmas Feast at the Winchester Inn. The six-course meal comes with carolers and costumed staff.

The next morning (Christmas Eve), before departing for the coast, make an early morning visit to Harry & David’s. As is our Christmas shopping tradition, we have negotiated a little gift card to get you started on your expedition. Travel to the coast, stopping in Bandon at Washed Ashore, a most unique place that makes art out of ocean trash. At Cranberry Sweets, your sponsored-shopping activities continue. Finish the day at The Mill Casino/Hotel in Coos Bay. Dinner tonight is a Crab Fest (other options available), as the Dungeness season will have just started.

Christmas Day brings our legendary White Elephant Gift Exchange, an ecological tour of the area and a visit to Shore Acres State Park. Not only is there an interesting story, there is a wonderful display of Christmas lights. A holiday feast is planned.

The trip home takes you down the Oregon Coast, with shopping stops at Misty Meadows Jams and the House of Myrtlewood. Spend the night in Eureka and head home through the redwoods.

A Magical Luncheon

First presented as a mystery daytrip last summer with three departures, this “Magical Luncheon” received rave reviews! Host Gerry Griffin welcomes you to his house of fun and illusion for the afternoon. A very tasty pre-set menu is served with tableside magic and humor. Then sit back and enjoy the show that is filled with laughter and illusion. You will come away mystified.
