    Day 1

    Travel back in time aboard SuperCoach III bound for Sonoma State Park where docents dressed in period clothing bring to life 1800’s California history with a tour of Mission San Francisco de Solano and General Vallejo’s home. Pause in Sonoma for a harvest fresh lunch utilizing locally gathered ingredients. The only mission founded as a hospital, discover the unique history of Mission San Rafael Arcángel. In Santa Cruz, arrive at your oceanview accommodations to enjoy the evening at your leisure. The Santa Cruz Dream Inn – 2 nights (L)

    Day 2

    The often overlooked Mission San Antonio de Padua is your first stop today. A casual lunch is served in the serenity of the 87-acre ranch after your tour. Works by over 70 local artisans are featured in the fantastic gift shop! You will leave with a gift to remember your visit. Pause briefly at tiny Mission Soledad and learn of its hard scrabble history. Enjoy free time back at the hotel to simply relax or walk the pier before an included dinner this evening. (FB,L,D)

  • Day 3

    Explore Mission Santa Cruz this morning atop Mission Hill. A short film discusses the history of the Ohlone and Yokut Indians and their roles within the mission system before a docent-guided tour. Tour scenic Mission San Juan Bautista, situated on a historic plaza, before lunch at Pea Soup Andersen’s. Save room for a decadent ice cream sundae at the Ghirardelli Outlet en route back to the Sports Leisure office where your door-to-door transportation awaits you. (FB,L)


A Day Out in San Francisco

Enjoy a ride to The City for a day of shopping, lunch or just looking around! The coach will drop you at Pier 39/ Fishermens Wharf and Union Square.


A Play on the Lake, A Ride to the Sky

Head to Lake Tahoe for a fun overnighter featuring the 1960’s musical, Beehive. An exuberant jukebox celebration of women musicians from the 60’s; Beehive transports audiences on a nostalgic musical journey. The outdoor venue at Sand Harbor is perfect for a summer night of music, laughter, and of course Aqua Net-glistening coiffures! Join your fellow Sports Leisure travelers for a late morning trip to Truckee. Check into the Hampton Inn, don your best 60’s apparel (optional) before dinner at Moody’s before enjoying the show. Imagine, this venue has one of the most stunning backdrops in the world, a Lake Tahoe sunset!
After breakfast at the hotel; depart for Olympic Valley. Squaw Valley is one of the largest ski areas in the United States, and was host site of the entire 1960 Winter Olympics. A tram ride to the summit provides an aerial view of the valley, plus takes you to High Camp for lunch. Visit the Olympic Museum before returning to Sacramento, mid-afternoon.
