The Traveler

  • The Traveler - October 2020

We’ve operated quite a few tours since Pass the Corn Nuts broke our long fast in late August and many more are planned over the next few months. In the interest of confidence and safety you’ll see they are mostly confined to our region and operating by motorcoach. We have high hopes to resume interstate air travel next year!

We’ve decided to convert Vacation Preview Day to a one-day parking lot Halloween Party at the office on October 31 from 9:30 to 3:00. Read all about it on page 1. Reservations required and costumes encouraged!  If you’ve already made a reservation for the event as originally planned there is no need to call again. This will be your opportunity to receive an advance copy of our 2021 Dream Book Take 2. They will be mailed to all Travel Club members in early November.

Our office has reopened for those who wish to conduct business in person. Please note a mask or face shield must be worn to enter (no ventilator masks, bandanas or gaiters allowed).  Hand sanitation is provided just inside the door. We look forward to seeing you soon!

  • The Traveler - Aug/Sept 2020

Look inside these pages for a number of exciting new day trips – now dubbed Daycations – starting in late August, as well as new holiday adventures from one to multi-day! You’ll also find your first chance to sign up for a reimagined Vacation Preview Day on October 30-31.

  • The Traveler - May/June 2020

Sports Leisure staff continue to dream and create new experiences for the future. One day we will travel again, and when the time comes, Sports Leisure will be ready with exciting new looks at some familiar, close-to-home destinations.

  • Spring Preview Day 2020 - New Tours

Sports Leisure Vacations hosted a "Drive-thru Spring Preview Day" at the office on Saturday morning. Those travelers who drove by received a preliminary copy of the new trips as well as some previously announced vacations that still have seats remaining. The June Traveler will be mailed approximately June 15th.

Owner Mark Hoffmann: "The travel reality is things may be limited for another month or two or twelve. No one knows the answer. But since one of the best parts of travel is the dreaming and planning, we continue working on where we will go when we can."
