Day 1
Take a morning flight bound for
Washington’s Reagan National Airport. From
this in-town airport, it’s only a short drive to
your hotel – a welcomed relief after a long

Day 2
Embark on a comprehensive city tour
with our local guide extraordinaire, Sandra
Sheksin. She will spin tales of Washington’s
dynamic past and present while orienting
you to the Mall (important for later in the
itinerary when you have free time for
Smithsonian and National Museums).
You’ll see countless National Monuments,
impressive governmental buildings both historic and modern (your tax dollars at
work!), and the expansive parks and public
spaces that make Washington, D.C. the

Day 3
Begin your exploration of the Smithsonian
Institution and National Museums today
with a full day on the Mall. Your coach will
operate “shuttle style” to facilitate easy
movement and breaks. “D.C. After Dark”
features selected and beautifully illuminated
monuments and the Kennedy Center after

Day 4
A morning visit to Arlington National
Cemetery includes a narrated tram tour with
stops at the Tomb of the Unknowns for the
Changing of the Guard ceremony and the
home of General and Mrs. Robert E. Lee
– no, that’s not a mausoleum on the hill! In
the afternoon, take a ride into the country
to visit the estate of George and Martha
Washington, Mount Vernon. Tonight, dinner
at Filomena Ristorante in Georgetown is a
Sports Leisure favorite and sure to please.

Day 5
Memorial Day offers a host of
opportunities along our National Mall. Start
the day with a visit to Ford’s Theatre and the
Petersen House to relive President Lincoln’s
final days. A new interpretative center offers
insight into this turbulent time in American
history. From there your choices begin.
Take your place along Constitution Avenue
for the National Memorial Day Parade or use the time to continue your exploration
of the Smithsonian Institution and National

A guided tour of the United States Capitol
brings your vacation to a monumental end.

A Day Out in San Francisco
Enjoy a ride to The City for a day of shopping, lunch or just looking around! The coach will drop you at Pier 39/ Fishermens Wharf and Union Square.

A Play on the Lake, A Ride to the Sky
Head to Lake Tahoe for a fun overnighter featuring the 1960’s musical, Beehive. An exuberant jukebox celebration of women musicians from the 60’s; Beehive transports audiences on a nostalgic musical journey. The outdoor venue at Sand Harbor is perfect for a summer night of music, laughter, and of course Aqua Net-glistening coiffures! Join your fellow Sports Leisure travelers for a late morning trip to Truckee. Check into the Hampton Inn, don your best 60’s apparel (optional) before dinner at Moody’s before enjoying the show. Imagine, this venue has one of the most stunning backdrops in the world, a Lake Tahoe sunset!
After breakfast at the hotel; depart for Olympic Valley. Squaw Valley is one of the largest ski areas in the United States, and was host site of the entire 1960 Winter Olympics. A tram ride to the summit provides an aerial view of the valley, plus takes you to High Camp for lunch. Visit the Olympic Museum before returning to Sacramento, mid-afternoon.
